COVID-19 Relief

COVID-19 Lockdown

Dear Valued Brokers, Clients and Partners

South Africa is now well into the lockdown period as announced by our President, Cyril Ramaphosa in an attempt to flatten the curve of infection and arrested the potentially devastating effects of the COVID-19 virus.

Consort fully supports the steps taken by the government in attempting to reduce the humanitarian crisis that this virus has the potential of creating.

We have taken the necessary steps to enable each team member within Consort to have remote access to the office and as a result, they are all able to continue working from their homes, providing a sense of certainty for our brokers and clients during this time.

The lockdown period will however have some dire consequences on the economy, with the small to medium business sector due to feel the most pressure. We are acutely aware of the difficulties some of our insureds will find themselves in as they navigate through this difficult time. We believe that by working together with our clients, and with our inherent resilience as a nation, we can overcome this period.

Consort remains committed to our clients and in particular those clients that face the greatest challenge during this lockdown period. We are ready and willing to assist in the following ways:

  • Any member of the Consort team is available to address any concern or query you may have regarding adequacy of cover during this period.
  • Changes to cover can be actioned immediately.
